The Artist’s Little Rock Story
Originally, I fell in love with Downtown Little Rock’s unique shops and sculpture garden along the river. As I explored more, I discovered more unique shops, food and great views.
I’m especially fond of the SoMa area. It’s so quaint and romantic. I have a particular love for Loblolly for their treats and colorful decor and the good memories created every time I stop by. I also love Stifft Station. The layout of the buildings and the businesses that are there have so much potential. I love the mural that welcomes you to that area and the coffee at Rose Garden Market & Co.
A more livable Little Rock to me has affordable housing in walkable areas. It’d be great to live in SoMa or Stifft Station and walk down the street to grab a coffee or being able to enjoy a stroll to a park. But we need to do this in a way that doesn’t displace people out of areas they can’t afford.
Artist Profile
I love to create and view the world through different lenses. While I can work with different mediums, my favorite is oil because I can take my time. I love painting people and incorporating 2D elements in my work. Portfolio: Instagram @carleybrownsart Contact: Email [email protected]
